Islamic Thinkers In Physics

And why we should hear about them

Islamic thinkers in physics are a bridging point between the work of the ancient Greek philosophers, the Chinese, the Indians, the Persians, and the modern western world, both geographically, and in time. So, why is it that they (and many of the other groups they learned from) are so unheard of in north-western Europe?

This website aims to investigate some of these men, why they did what they did, and what we can, and should, learn of them. This website focuses on influential figures from the later Abbasid period, specifically around the 10th and 11th centuries.
